In a time when fashions in art date faster than the speed limit. Peter Moore’s paintings endure and provide a felicitous blend of thought, beauty and wit – with a touch of wilful perversity. Nevertheless , few will leave Peter Moore’s show looking as though they have been walking home in a ditch. Happily, Moore engages viewers with his prodigal use of colour inscriptions and iconographic design. His elegant visual statements, reminiscent of palimpsests are those best of statements - they are life embracing, witty and provocative.
